  • Your body can benefit from a neutral spine in many different positions such as walking, running, squatting, on hands and knees, to list a few.

  • When you begin moving, the loads placed on your body increase beyond your standing weight (which is the number of pounds you see when you step on a scale). Maintaining a neutral spine while moving will allow your bones, discs, ligaments, tendons and muscles to carry loads efficiently, and therefore make walking or running more sustainable for your tissues.

  • To align your spine while moving, adjust your pelvis, ribs and head as you did while standing still and then start moving.
